State Bank of India i.e. SBI has released the date of Probationary Officer i.e. PO Recruitment Prelims Exam. This exam will be conducted on 8, 16, and 24 March 2025. Admit cards for this exam will be issued in the third or fourth week of February. Candidates who have applied for SBI PO Recruitment 2024 can visit the official website of SBI to see the official notice. The bank had earlier announced that the first stage preliminary examination would be held on 8 and 15 March, but now this date has been changed and a new datasheet has been released.

SBI PO Prelims Exam Pattern: Pattern of Prelims Exam

Objective-type questions will be asked in the SBI PO preliminary exam, which will be of a total 100 marks and each question will be of 1 mark. One hour will be given for this. The exam is divided into three sections, English Language (30 maraks), Quantitative Aptitude (30 marks), and Reasoning Ability (35 marks). Candidates will have 20 minutes to complete each section. Keep in mind, there will also be negative marking in this exam i.e. one-fourth marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. Therefore, candidates will answer the questions thoughtfully.

SBI PO 2024 Prelims Exam: What after the preliminary exam?

Those who pass the first stage i.e. the preliminary exam will be called for the main exam in the next stage. This exam can be held in April or May 2025. The SBI PO main exam will be online, which is divided into two main parts, objective and descriptive. In this exam conducted for a total of three hours, questions of 200 marks will be asked from the objective section and immediately after that, a descriptive exam of 50 marks will be taken. This section includes an essay and a letter. Then the candidates who are successful in the main exam will be called for interview and document verification.

SBI PO Recruitment 2024: How many posts will be recruited?

A total of 600 SBI PO posts will be filled under this recruitment drive. This includes 586 regular posts and 14 backlog posts. Candidates selected for these posts will get a salary of Rs 41,960 per month.
