A resident named Radhakrishna Kurup in the Pathanamthitta district of Kerala has filed a complaint against his neighbour, Anil Kumar due to incessant rooster crowing at 3 am every day.
According to Kurup, an elderly resident of Pallickal, the rooster's early morning noise has been disrupting his sleep and disturbing his peace. As mentioned in a TOI report, this led to him filing a complaint.
The Adoor Revenue Divisional Office (RDO) initiated a thorough investigation. As a part of the process, both Kurup and Kumar were summoned to discuss the issue, and officials conducted an on-site inspection.
According to the report, the investigation verified that Kumar was keeping his roosters on the upper floor of his house, which resulted in the crowing noises affecting Kurup's comfort.
To resolve this unusual neighbourhood dispute, the RDO has ordered Kumar to relocate the poultry shed to the southern side of his property, away from Kurup's home. Kumar has been given 14 days to complete the relocation. The resolution seeks to bring a peaceful end to the matter, ensuring Kurup can once again enjoy restful sleep.
