The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has recommended that individuals update Aadhaar cards that are 10 years or older to ensure accurate and secure citizen information.

Aadhaar Update Campaign in Jammu & Kashmir

UIDAI has collaborated with the Jammu & Kashmir administration to launch an Aadhaar update campaign. Aadhaar centers have been set up in all districts for easy access.

Key Highlights of Aadhaar Update

🔹 Aadhaar for Newborns: Hospitals will now issue Aadhaar cards for newborns based on verified birth certificates.
🔹 Biometric & Demographic Updates: Citizens are advised to update their name, age, mobile number, and biometric details regularly.
🔹 Over 1000 Aadhaar Centers: More service centers have been set up across the country to facilitate updates.

New Aadhaar Update Rules

Mandatory update every 10 years
Biometric Update for Children: It is mandatory to update biometrics at ages 5 and 15 (fingerprints, iris scans, and photos).
Failure to update may result in Aadhaar deactivation.

Online Update:

2️⃣ Update your details and upload the required documents.

Offline Update:

1️⃣ Visit the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra with necessary documents.
2️⃣ Complete biometric verification to process the update.
