Washington Washington: Popular messaging app Whatsapp came to a standstill in the United States on Friday, as many users reported to face problems in message delivery. The Dowdatector received more than 13,000 complaints. Another group of users complained of difficulty in connecting the app.
Since no official remarks were released by the Meta (the original company of WhatsApp) during the initial phase of the outage, the user rose on the social media platforms to examine the status of the app.
Whatsapp Down in America
One user wrote, “Stop turning/off your airplane mode. Stop refreshing your Whatsapp. This is not your network, WhatsApp is down.”
Outage gave birth to a mimafest in which users questioned that “WhatsApp is down or not, how many people have come to X to see whether it is now?”
Meanwhile, WhatsApp users can now customize their chat with the new chat theme, which is now available for Android and iOS phone.
The chat theme is an expansion of the wallpaper, allowing users to change not only the chat background but also the overall color theme. However, the biggest appeal is the ability to change the color of the chat bubbles, which have been the same since the onset of the app.
Whatsapp has offered 30 new wallpaper options, but users can choose any photos from their phone gallery and turn it into chat wallpaper. The theme can be applied to all chats or individual chats, but they will only apply to the user who makes change. The recipient will not see any change in the appearance of the chat screen, unlike Telegram where the user can change the theme for both himself and the receiver.
