In today's time, Aadhaar card has become a very important document of our life. From bank account to government schemes, Aadhaar card is required everywhere. But do you know that there are some information in the Aadhaar card, which you can improve only once? Yes, according to the rules of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), important information like date of birth and gender in the Aadhaar card can be improved only once.
This means that if you have improved the date of birth in your Aadhaar card and later came to know that it is still wrong, then you cannot improve it again. This is the reason that experts recommend that all the information should be checked thoroughly before making any kind of improvement in the Aadhaar card.
Which information can be changed limited times only?
According to the rules of UIDAI, information like date of birth and gender in the Aadhaar card can be changed only once. At the same time, the name can only be improved twice. This means that if you have changed your name twice, now you cannot make any change in the name for the third time.
However, there is no limit to change in address. You can change the address in your Aadhaar card as often as you want. Apart from this, UIDAI has also not given any clear limit to change the mobile number. You can change the mobile number to your Aadhaar as required.
What cannot be changed in Aadhaar card?
The Aadhaar number of 16 digits in the Aadhaar card can never be changed. Once you release the Aadhaar number, it will remain for your life. You can download a new Aadhaar card, but cannot get Aadhaar card made with a new number. The base contains biometrics such as your fingerprint and retina, so it cannot be rebuilt in a fake way.
In addition, as stated earlier, the date of birth and penis can be improved only once. Therefore, if you have already improved these information, then now you cannot make any changes in them again.
