This question has also become serious because the CBI has investigated the case filed against the accused. The case is related to Bikothi police station in Purnia district. Accused Daroga Mukhalal Paswan was the police station officer of this police station 26 years ago.
The matter was not allowed to climb on service record
In October last year, Purnia's CBI court convicted her in a fake encounter case and sentenced him to life imprisonment. At the time of the sentence, the accused became the inspector and then the deputy SP after getting promotion and he was posted as DSP of Special Branch in Darbhanga. Although after the announcement of the sentence in the court, he was arrested and sent to jail, but then the new case came to light that the accused Daroga did not allow the details of this case to climb in his service record for 26 years.
DIG Purnia gets responsibility for investigation
Top officials of Bihar Police are now looking for those faces who helped Daroga Mukhalal in doing so. Now the investigation of the case from Bihar Police Headquarters has been handed over to Purnia Range DIG Pramod Kumar Mandal. In fact, according to the Rules of Bihar Police Service, if any case is filed against any policeman, then its details are offered in its service record. In this way, the accused policeman does not get the benefit of promotion until the lawsuit is decided.
