Foreign tourists and Nepali revelers celebrated Holi with joy at Kathmandu Durbar Square, smearing colors, dancing to traditional drum beats, and exchanging cheerful greetings. Tourists described the atmosphere as “fantastic” and “fun-filled. “Known as the “Holi Junction of Kathmandu,” the historic site became a hub of festivities. Holi, marking the arrival of spring and the harvest season, is celebrated over two days with Chhoti Holi (Holika Dahan) and Dhuleti (Holi).
