UPI Down For Several Users Across Apps In India, G-Pay, Paytm Not Working

Many people in India are facing difficulties in completing UPI (Unified Payments Interface) transactions as () services across apps is down for several users across the country. The outrage has hugely affected users using PhonePe, Paytm and Google Pay. The outrage started at 7:00 PM on Wednesday.

A user on X with the user namer "Faraz Wadhwania" said sharing a screenshot of the homepage of the UPI app ," is down, Cash wil always be the king."

Another user said, "I'm in a crowded restaurant during peak hours, GPay is down, I have no cash in my pocket, and the cashier is staring at me."

According to Downdetector, there were over 3,000 complaints from users who reported with the UPI.
