In a relief for LPG consumers, oil marketing companies have reduced the price of commercial LPG cylinders. As of April 1, 2025, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has been slashed by approximately ₹45.
Key Price Updates:- Commercial LPG Cylinder:
- In Delhi, the price has dropped by ₹41, now costing ₹1,762 (previously ₹1,803 in March).
- In Kolkata, the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder is now priced at ₹1,868.50, down by ₹44.50 from March’s ₹1,913.
- In Mumbai, the price of the commercial cylinder has decreased from ₹1,755.50 to ₹1,713.50.
- Domestic LPG Cylinder:
- The price of the 14 kg domestic LPG cylinder remains unchanged at ₹803 in Delhi, the same as it was since August 1, 2024.
- In Kolkata, the 14 kg cylinder costs ₹829, while in Mumbai, it’s ₹802.50, and in Chennai, it’s ₹818.50.
While the commercial cylinder has become more affordable, there has been no change in the price of the domestic LPG cylinder.
Why the Price Cut?The reduction in the price of the commercial cylinders is likely due to adjustments in global fuel prices and production costs, benefiting businesses such as hotels and restaurants that rely on commercial LPG for cooking.
