LPG Prices Drop in April: Relief for Businesses, No Change for Domestic Users
As a festive relief during Navratri, the government has reduced the price of LPG cylinders. Effective from April 1, 2025, Indian Oil has slashed the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders by ₹41 to ₹45. However, there is no change in the price of 14 kg domestic gas cylinders.
Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices Drop by Up to ₹45From April 1, 2025, new LPG prices for commercial cylinders are as follows:
- Delhi: ₹1,762 (previously ₹1,803)
- Kolkata: ₹1,868 (previously ₹1,913)
- Mumbai: ₹1,713 (previously ₹1,749.50)
- Chennai: ₹1,921 (previously ₹1,965)
This price cut provides relief for businesses relying on commercial LPG cylinders, offering a much-needed reduction in operational costs.
No Change in Domestic LPG Cylinder PricesDespite the commercial LPG price reduction, the cost of domestic 14 kg cylinders remains unchanged. Here’s the latest domestic LPG price list:
- Delhi: ₹803
- Lucknow: ₹840.50
- Kolkata: ₹829
- Mumbai: ₹802.50
- Chennai: ₹818.50
In March 2025, commercial LPG cylinder prices had increased, causing concern among business owners. However, this latest revision provides some relief, especially during the festive period. The last price change for domestic LPG cylinders occurred on August 1, 2024, and since then, the rates have remained unchanged.
