In spite of being Raj Kapoors daughter she chose her career according to her own choice and decided to stay away from Bollywood. She was married to Rajan Nanda former chairman of Escorts Group. Let us tell you that she was also the in-law of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan as Amitabhs daughter Shweta is the wife of Ritus son Nikhil Nanda. She pursued a career as an LIC agent and was once the top insurance agent of LIC. Her success can be gauged from the fact that in one day she held the record of selling 17000 pension plans of LIC. She even earned a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records. Ritu’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to start an insurance company called Escolife even though she was trolled at first. Before that she had tried her hand at the kitchen appliances business with her company Nikitasha but that didn’t work out so well. Nanda passed away after a prolonged fight with cancer in January 2020. She was 71.
