LPG Cylinder Price Hike Cooking Gas Cost Rices by Rs 50 News in Hindi: The Central Government announced an increase of Rs 50 in the price of LPG gas cylinder by Rs 50 on Monday. Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said on Monday that distribution companies have increased the price of LPG or LPG by Rs 50 per cylinder. With this, the price of the cylinder per LPG for the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) will increase from Rs 500 to 550. The price of LPG cylinder for other people will increase from Rs 803 to Rs 853.
The minister also said that this decision will be reviewed a few weeks later. He said, “This is a step that we will review as we move forward. We review it every 2-3 weeks.”
The government has increased excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 2-2 per liter. According to the official order, excise duty on petrol has been increased to Rs 13 per liter and diesel by Rs 10 per liter. It states that the increase in fees “will be applicable from April 8, 2025.”
