A video is going viral on social media in which a woman is allegedly claiming that she ordered a veg biryani from a restaurant in Greater Noida through Swiggy but received a non-veg biryani instead. She further claims that the restaurant was listed as “pure veg” on Swiggy, yet she was sent a non-vegetarian dish, as she allegedly shows a picture of the biryani containing meat.
Note: Times Now could not verify the authenticity of the claim. We have reached out to Swiggy for a response, and this story will be updated once we receive it.
The video was posted on Instagram by a woman identified as Chhaya Sharma. In the video, she says, “I ordered veg biryani on Swiggy from a restaurant that was listed as pure veg. But I received non-veg biryani,” while showing a photo of the dish that appears to contain a piece of chicken. She further adds, “I even ate a few pieces from the dish. And since Navratri is going on, this is completely wrong.”
The video has since gone viral and sparked mixed reactions from netizens. While many users called for action against the restaurant, others commented that “she shouldn’t have ordered online during Navratri.”
In similar instance, a customer in Nanak area, Ujjain allegedly found a cockroach in a sandwich ordered from Sagar Gaire restaurant. The parcel was delivered to a customer named Ravi Bedi. However, upon reaching home and opening the sandwich, he was horrified to discover a dead cockroach inside.
Following this, Ravi immediately complained to the restaurant owner and reported the matter to the food department. In response, food department officials arrived at the restaurant for an inspection and took possession of the contaminated sandwich.
