What did the NPCI say?

On April 7, the NPCI had said that the UPI QR code is being restricted internationally. This can affect domestic level transactions. NPCI has said that transactions have been affected in March for 90 minutes. The NPCI has said that technical issues are the main reason.

The reason for the reduction of UPI transactions is the sudden increase in the number of UPI transactions. Generally, there are about 2 crore UPI transactions in a month, but in March, UPI transactions have increased to more than 2 crore.

When the UPI server is down, the UPI transaction appears to be pending. If your payment is stuck like this, you don't have to panic. Because your payment will either go to the recipient's account or return to your bank account and it will be cleared within a few minutes or at a maximum of 5 hours.
