Ripple has just arrived on Netflix and the eight-episode drama has taken viewers on an emotional rollercoaster.

The series, amongst many other hit Netflix dramas, follows four New Yorkers whose lives are unexpectedly intertwined as they navigate through some heartbreaking challenges.

Fans of masterpiece shows like this are already wondering whether season two will get the green light as they hailed the series "perfect", with some bingeing it all in one day.

The official synopsis reads: "The series follows four strangers -Walter, Kris, Nate, and Aria- who have unknowingly crossed paths many times but never met.

"As they each face life's challenges, their actions create a ripple effect that ultimately connects them. Ripple delivers a powerful message of hope: the best things often come after the storm, and no one is truly alone."

Frankie Faison is a 76-year-old American actor best known for playing Commissioner Ervin Burrell in the HBO series The Wire.

Viewers may also recognise him as Barney Matthews in the Hannibal Lecter franchise, or as Sugar Bates in the Cinemax series Banshee.

He is married to Samantha Jupiter Faison and has three children.

Julia Chan is a 42-year-old English actress and presenter, best known for playing Dr Maggie Lin in Saving Hope.

She also played Pepper Smith in The CW series Katy Keene, and has hosted the first two seasons of The Great Canadian Baking Show.

The star was married to Erik Ratensperger from 2011 to 2019.

Ian Harding is a 39-year-old American actor who starred as Ezra Fitz in Pretty Little Liars from 2010 until 2017.

His other TV credits include Chicago Med, Long Slow Exhale and The Magic of Lemon Drops.

He married Sophie Hart in 2019 and the couple had a son in 2022.

Sydney Agudong is a 25-year-old American actress and singer best known for playing Nani Pelekai in Lilo & Stitch.

From Hawaii, her younger sister Siena Agudong is also an actress and the pair began travelling to LA for acting auditions as young children.

Sydney has also starred in episodes of On My Block, NCIS and Find Millie Martin.

Tara Martin - Marci T House

Marci T House as a 53-year-old American-Canadian actress and executive producer with experience in film, TV and theatre.

Viewers may recognise her as Dr Angela Clyburn in the series Murder in a Small Town, or as Joyce in Happy Face.

Ellis - Sarah Swire

Sarah Swire is a stage, screen and TV actress and singer-songwriter who performs under the name Sister Swire.

She is best known for playing Jenna Briggs in The Last Frontier, and has had various roles in Murdoch Mysteries.

She played a young Mallory in an episode of The Boys back in 2022.

Claire - Vanessa Smythe

Vanessa Smythe is best known for playing Michio in the series The Expanse, and has also starred in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

She took to Instagram to explain her latest role, for which she had to learn American Sign Language.

She said: "I play Claire who loves Nate and Anna. The rest you'll have to just (possibly) see. Beyond this being one of those lifetime/all time impeccable assemblies of people - from the cast to the crew to the legs on the ground - something that made this extra special for me was getting to learn some ASL with the help of ice fisher extraordinaire @amandaricher , @cdesloges , @tslisto @jenrl_xoxo , and multiple other interpreters who joined us on set.

"I have much more to learn but I was honoured to get to engage with members of the deaf community, most of all my TV daughter Hazel whose eyes and heart pierce my soul, and who even granted me my own sign name on our very last block."

John - Robert Bazzochi

Robert Bazzochi is an Italian-Canadian actor who began his career in the arts as a dancer, training competitively for ten years.

At university, he studied Robotics Engineering but shifted to acting after he graduated.

His credits include Gen V, Ruby and the Well, Macy Murdoch and Reacher.

Other stars include Isabella Astbury as Finn, Lyra Xhoci as Nurse Angela, Hazel Lagrendeur as Anna Perry and Eden Broda as Rebecca.

Guests include Nicola Correia-Damude, Kelly Fanson, Tina Lifford, LisaGay Hamilton, Stephanie Moran and Christian de la Cortina.
