James Camerons Avatar: Fire and Ash has finally been released on the big screens on November 19 amid the massive craze around Ranveer Singhs Dhurandhar. The Hollywood movie opened with decent numbers collecting Rs 19 crore on Friday. Despite tough competition from the Ranveer Singh-starrer Avatar: Fire and Ash minted Rs 22.25 crore on Saturday. The total collection of the film now stands at Rs 67.25 crore. Avatar: Fire and Ash Box Office Collection With the film making a decent collection on Day 1 it was expected that the movie would do big during the weekend. To some extent the movie did good business. On Sunday which also happened to be the third day of release Avatar: Fire and Ash earned Rs 25.7 crore taking the total collection to Rs 67 crore. While Avatar: Fire and Ash continues to maintain a steady run Dhurandhar remains firmly in control of the box office records. By Day 17 (Sunday) the film crossed the Rs 555 crore net mark in India and posted a stellar third weekend earning nearly Rs 93 crore compared to Avatar 3’s Rs 66.25 crore. On Sunday alone it registered an impressive 63.94 per cent Hindi occupancy indicating sustained audience interest well into its third week. About Dhurandhar Helmed by Aditya Dhar Dhurandhar was one of the highly anticipated films of the year. The movie was released on December 5 and despite 17 days of its run the film minted Rs 38 crore on the third Sunday. The film is now close to overtaking Chhaava which stands at Rs 585 crore. If that happens Dhurandhar will be the highest grosser of 2025. The movie revolves around an Indian intelligence officer infiltrating Pakistan’s gangs and dismantling their ties to terror networks. Headlined by Ranveer Singh the movie also features Akshaye Khanna R. Madhavan Arjun Rampal and Sanjay Dutt in key roles. For the unversed Aditya Dhar is coming up with the second part of Dhurandhar which will be released on March 19 2026 giving competition to Yashs Toxic.
