Shopping on quick delivery platforms has become a pleasant experience for people. A 2025 report showed that a user in Chennai spent ₹106,398 on condoms alone in a year. The user placed 228 separate orders during the year, i.e. an average of 19 orders per month. Not only that, the report revealed that a man in Bengaluru paid ₹68,600 in tips in a year, but some more interesting statistics came to light:

₹2.41 lakh spent on pets

According to a Swiggy blog postcondoms were a popular product among shoppers on Instamart. One in every 127 orders included condoms. Sales rose 24% in September, making it the biggest month ever for condom purchases. Moreover, a user in Mumbai spent ₹1.63 million on sugar-free Red Bull. A user from Chennai spent ₹2.41 million on pet supplies.

Bangalore leads in tipping delivery partners

The report revealed that a user in Bengaluru tipped delivery partners ₹68,600. Chennai tip was ₹59,505. According to reports, 666 roses were ordered every minute on Valentine’s Day. Rakshabandhan, Friendship Day and Valentine’s Day were the most celebrated festivals, with people buying lots of gifts. The smallest purchase order was a printout worth ₹10 by a user in Bengaluru. A user from Mumbai spent ₹15.16 lakh on gold alone.

An account in Bengaluru ordered noodles worth ₹4.36 lakh. A user from Hyderabad spent over ₹31,000 on roses. A user in Noida spent ₹2.8 lakh on 1,343 protein items. This trend indicates a rapid increase in shopping activity on the Quick Commerce platform. It also reflects the habit of people to use these apps for their daily needs.
