If you are an Instagram user and are troubled by the boring feed, Instagram is now working on a feature after which your feed will no longer be boring. The head of the company has confirmed this through social media.
It is noteworthy that this change has come at a time when the company has confirmed that it deliberately reduces the quality of Instagram Stories and Reels which do not get many views.
During a recent Ask Me Anything (AMA) session, Instagram head Adam Mosseri was asked about a recent change on the social media platform that most people weren’t aware of.
In the meantime, Mosseri said Instagram has shut down a feature called “Ring Pull.” This was a user interface (UI) feature that automatically refreshed the feed as soon as users opened the app.
According to Mosseri, this feature was because the app was trying to load new content and in the meantime was showing previously downloaded posts and videos. Although the feature was intended to increase user engagement, company executives admitted that it was “confounding”, as any previously interesting content on the screen would suddenly disappear.
