India’s strict response to attacks on minorities in Bangladesh, Foreign Ministry expressed serious concern, said- will not ignore

The increasing attacks on the minority Hindu community in Bangladesh have put the Indian government under serious concern. India has issued a stern warning to the interim government of Bangladesh after two Hindu youths were lynched to death by a mob in two separate incidents in December 2025.

Let us tell you that India has expressed deep concern about the continuous violence against minorities in Bangladesh. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in a press conference on Friday that the ongoing hostility towards minority communities in Bangladesh is a matter of serious concern.

Indian Foreign Ministry’s statement on the murder of Hindu youth in Bangladesh

Terming these incidents as worrying, the Ministry of External Affairs said that the persistent hostility against minorities cannot be ignored. Randhir Jaiswal said that India strongly condemns the recent killing of a Hindu youth in Bangladesh. He expressed hope that the culprits of this heinous crime will be brought to justice as soon as possible.

The Ministry of External Affairs has clearly stated that India is continuously monitoring this matter and expects the Bangladesh government to ensure the safety of minorities. India is in favor of strengthening its relations with the people of Bangladesh. We want peace and stability in Bangladesh and have consistently called for free, fair, inclusive and participatory elections in Bangladesh.

Hindu girl was murdered in Mehmsingh district of Bangladesh

Let us tell you that on the night of 18-19 December 2025, Hindu youth Dipu Chandra Das was beaten to death by a mob on charges of alleged blasphemy in Mehmsingh district of Bangladesh. The mob not only beat him brutally, but also tied the body to a tree and set it on fire. This incident raised serious questions on the safety of minorities in Bangladesh. Interim government head Mohammad Yunus condemned it and announced the arrest of seven people, but the violence is showing no sign of stopping.

Protests took place in many states of the country on 23 December

Let us tell you that on December 23, workers of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal protested in many states of the country and raised slogans against the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh. The protesters demanded from the Indian government that it should put diplomatic pressure on the Bangladesh government and ensure the safety of minority Hindus there.
