The results of the Uttar Pradesh Joint B.Ed. Entrance Exam 2026 have been released. Vandana Singh from Aligarh secured the first position in the state. Ranks have been issued to more than four lakh candidates for the exam, which was conducted by Bundelkhand University, Jhansi. The results were announced today during an event held at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University, Lucknow. During the event, Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay and officials interacted with the toppers via video call and extended their best wishes. Congratulating the successful candidates, the Higher Education Minister stated that students can achieve their goals through hard work and proper guidance. He also congratulated the team at Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, for the successful conduct of the examination.

Exam Held at 1,011 Centers Across 72 Districts

The Uttar Pradesh government had entrusted the responsibility of conducting the B.Ed. Entrance Exam 2026 to Bundelkhand University, Jhansi. The exam was held on May 31, 2026, across 1,011 centers in 72 districts of the state.
The examination was conducted in two shifts: the first shift from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and the second shift from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A total of 4,44,958 candidates had registered for the exam. This included 2,72,659 women, 1,72,297 men, and 2 transgender candidates.

90 Percent Attendance Recorded

A total of 4,00,499 candidates appeared in the first shift and 4,00,756 in the second shift of the B.Ed. entrance exam. The overall attendance for the examination stood at approximately 90 percent. The highest attendance of 95 percent was recorded in the Kasganj and Pilibhit districts, while Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddha Nagar saw an attendance of 84 percent.

Monitoring via AI and Biometrics

Modern technology was employed to ensure the examination was secure and transparent. A high-tech command and control room was established for the live monitoring of all examination centers. Over 22,000 CCTV cameras were installed at the centers. Additionally, candidates were identified using 5,651 biometric machines, with attendance recorded via facial recognition and fingerprint scanning. The results of four candidates were cancelled for using unfair means during the examination.

Over Four Lakh Candidates Ranked

The results were prepared based on double scanning and image scanning of OMR sheets. Ranks were issued to a total of 400,107 candidates, comprising 153,612 males, 246,494 females, and one transgender candidate.

Vandana Singh from Aligarh Tops the Exam

Vandana Singh from Aligarh secured the first position in the state in the B.Ed. entrance examination (Science stream). Nitin Pachauri from Aligarh secured the second position, and Mishra Khushi Ajay from Jaunpur secured the third. Four male and six female candidates made it to the top 10 list.
