EPFO Set to Launch User-Centric 3.0 Platform in June
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is preparing to unveil EPFO 3.0a game-changing platform aimed at transforming the experience of over six crore employees. Starting June 2025employees can expect instant ATM withdrawals, auto-claim settlementsand OTP-based data corrections—all designed to enhance accessibility, transparency, and efficiency in managing retirement savings.
Labour Minister Confirms Digital-First Features
Union Labour and Employment Minister Mansukh mandaviya confirmed the major overhaul, stating that EPFO 3.0 will integrate digital correction tools, auto-processing of claimsand ATM-enabled PF withdrawals. “You will no longer need to visit an EPFO office,” said the Minister, emphasizing the ease and speed of the new system.
These upgrades come as part of a broader IT modernization initiative that aligns with the government’s digital India mission. The move will especially benefit pensioners and employees who previously faced delays in processing times and cumbersome documentation.
What’s New in EPFO 3.0

ATM Withdrawals: Employees can now withdraw their PF money directly from ATMs—much like a bank account.

Auto-Claim Settlement: No more 10-15 day waits. Claims will now be processed in near real-time.

Digital Correction & OTP Verification: Updating personal data such as phone number or nominee details will be streamlined through OTP authentication.

No Office Visits Required: With these changes, most services will be accessible digitally or via ATMs.
Other Key Benefits
The EPFO will continue providing annual interest credits on PF balances. For FY 2024-25the interest rates have been finalized, benefiting all account holders. Additionally, the centralized pension payment system already helps 78 LAKH+ Pensioners receive payments in any bank nationwide, and this benefit will continue under the new system.
Users can also continue to check their EPF balance through the Umang appSMS, or missed call services.
