Obnews Tech Desk: A major change has emerged for WhatsApp users. With Whatsapp beta version 2.25.14.15 for Android, the company is testing a new feature in which the number of broadcast messages will be limited every month.
Only 35 broadcast messages will be allowed every month
Under the new feature, WhatsApp is implementing a monthly broadcast limit, where users will be able to send a maximum of 35 broadcast messages per month. However, this number can also vary from the user's account type, area or other unknown criteria.
New section will be found in settings
Beta testers are getting to see a new section in the app settings, where broadcast list can be monitored and management easily. This section will now be available in straight settings instead of the overflow menu of “Chat tab”. Here users will be able to see how many broadcast messages they have sent this month and how many are left.
Attempt to prevent spam and promote effective communication
Whatsapp aims to prevent misuse of broadcast facility through this limit and ensure its use with more responsibility. With this, users will send messages more selective and purposeful, which will maintain the quality of dialogue on the platform.

Subscription plan will also be available for business users
Whatsapp will also give business users the option to increase additional broadcast limit under a new scheme. For this, they will be able to use a subscription plan. However, the company wants users to use more options like status updates and WhatsApp channels that are more modern and scalable.
