Required ingredients to make apple rabri:
- Milk-1 liter full cream
- Apple-2 medium sized (grated)
- Sugar-3-4 tablespoons (as per taste)
- Saffron-7-8 threads (soaked in hot milk)
- Cardamom powder- ½ teaspoon
- Chopped almonds-2-3 spoons
- Desi Ghee-1 teaspoon
Recipe
Cook milk: First of all boil milk in a heavy bottom pan. Then stir the milk while stirring on low flame continuously until it comes in half its quantity.
Cook the apple: Fry 1 teaspoon of desi ghee in a separate pan and fry grated apple for 4-5 minutes so that its rawness is over. Keep in mind, do not put apples directly in milk or else it may burst.
Add milk to milk: Now add sugar, saffron and cardamom powder to the thick milk and cook for 5 minutes.
Mix apples: Now add roasted apple to milk and mix well. Turn off the gas and allow the mixture to cool.
Serve after cooling: Cool the apple rabri for 1-2 hours in the fridge and serve dry fruits on top.
