Ingredients
Kabuli Chana – 1 cup
Onion chopped – 1/2 cup
Ginger chopped – 1/2 tsp
Garlic chopped – 2 tsp
Green chilli – 2
Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Dry mango powder – 3/4 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
Tea bag – 1
Desi ghee – 2 tbsp
Salt – as per taste
Method
- First of all, clean the Kabuli Chana and soak them in water overnight.
- This will make the chickpeas swell well. Take a cooker and put the soaked chickpeas in it.
- Add water in proportion to the chickpeas and salt as per taste. After this, put the tea bag and cover the cooker and cook the chickpeas until 3-4 whistles.
- After this, turn off the gas and let the pressure of the cooker release on its own.
- When the pressure of the cooker is released, remove the tea bag and keep it aside. Filter the chickpeas with the help of a sieve and keep them aside in a vessel.

- Now take a deep bottom pan put ghee in it and heat it on medium flame.
- After the ghee melts, add cumin seeds and fry for 15 seconds.
- After this, add finely chopped onion, ginger, green chili and garlic and fry.
- Cook the onion until its color becomes light pink.
