
Jagannath Yatra Special Bhog Recipe: Today is a very special day for all of us, because today from 27th June, the journey of Jagannath ji is going to start. Every year Jagannath Rath Yatra starts from the second day of Shukla Paksha in the month of Ashadh and the journey ends with the return of Jagannath ji on the 11th day of Shukla Paksha.

On the first day of the Yatra i.e. today, Lord Vishnu's incarnation Lord Shri Jagannath ji i.e. Shri Krishna will go on a city tour with his brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra. In such a situation, its pomp will be seen in Puri, Odisha as well as across the country.
People also worship Jagannath ji in their homes on this day and offer his favorite dishes to the Lord. If you also want to prepare some special bhog, then prepare Malpua. Lord Jagannath loves Malpua very much, and the tradition of offering it is decades old. So just let us tell you how to make Malpua easily.
Ingredients for making Malpua
Wheat flour – 1 cup
Semolina (Rava) – 1/2 cup
Mawa – 3 tbsp
Fennel powder – 1/2 tsp
Saffron threads – 1 pinch
Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
Milk – 1 cup
Sugar – 1 cup
Desi ghee – for frying
Cashews – 1 tbsp
Pistachio – 1 tbsp
Method
Now it is the turn to prepare Malpua in the right way, so for this, first, sift the wheat flour in a big bowl. After sifting the flour, add semolina to it by measuring it. Keep in mind that it is very important to have the right measurement of everything in making Malpua.
After mixing flour and semolina, mix both things well and then add sugar, cardamom powder, and fennel powder and mix it. Now the most important part of preparing the mixture of Malpua has come, for which you have to first put khoya in the bowl, and then slowly add milk and stir it, so that a good solution is prepared.

This solution should neither be too thick nor too thin. Now keep this solution aside, so that it sets and till then prepare the syrup. For Malpua, you will need a uniform syrup. To increase the taste of the syrup, mix cardamom powder in it.
Now just prepare Malpua. For that, heat oil in a pan and put Malpua in it with the help of a spoon. When it turns golden, take it out and put it in the syrup. Let it remain soaked like this for some time and then offer it when it cools down.
