Bank holidays in India vary from one region to another. They differ from one state to the next and are often influenced by local festivities, religious events, and regional festivals. All scheduled and non-scheduled banks will observe public holidays on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. And national holidays such as Republic Day, Independence Day, and Gandhi Jayanti are observed across all states.
