Travel expert Chelsea Dickenson is always on the hunt for methods to make travelling as cost-efficient and smooth as possible. On a mission to help the nation prepare for their summer plans, Boots and Chelsea Dickenson, more popularly known as the Cheap Holiday Expert, have curated ready-to-go bundles containing all the essentials forfestivals, beach trips, and adventures so customers can get the crucial items they need.
Speaking to the Express, Chelsea said: "The truth is, if you're on a bit of a budget and trying to pack light, you do have to bend the rules a little bit. I'm not adverse to a little bit of the grey area." Over half of Brits (53 per cent) admitted they've forgotten to pack something on a beach trip, with 41 per cent saying the same for hiking or adventurous days out. One in five Brits (21 per cent) have turned up to festivals without something important.

Boots' research found that across all types of trips, sunscreen consistently tops the list of forgotten items. For beachgoers, the most commonly left-behind products also include sunglasses, insect bite cream, aftersun and insect repellent.
Chelsea combats forgetfulness by making a packing list on her phone, detailing all of the things she needs for upcoming trips. If it doesn't make the list, it doesn't make the cut.
She emphasised the need for pre-planning: do you really need 20 pairs of pants? It's all about working out what is essential and what isn't.
The packing list is always her first port of call, detailing what she's going to wear each day and what will she need to use. She simply copies and pastes the list into the Notes app on her phone for her next upcoming holiday.
She said: "Once you do it once, I promise you won't have to do it again, it makes life a lot easier. You just go through it again, and there's nothing more satisfying, right?"
As toiletries are some of the most forgotten items when packing, Chelsea's favourite hack is to order a Click and Collect parcel to a Boots after she's gone through security at the airport. "If you do Click and Collect, you lock in a price, you can search for all the deals, and you know the item you need is going to be there," Chelsea said.
Not only will this save precious time last minute panic buying, but you can also save money by cashing in on any deals online. Chelsea explained that to save space when packing her "wellness stash", she'll only take the exact amount from the packet, cutting up the likes of hay fever tablets to fit in a small pouch.
Her must-have product of the summer? The Soltan Kids Beach Powder (from the Boots Beach Holiday Bundle).
For anyone who is averse to sand in all their nooks and crannies, the Soltan Kids Beach Powder removes sand from skin. No need for rinsing.
"Whoever created this needs a scientific prize, maybe a Nobel Piece Prize," she joked.
"Stop taking an extension cable on holiday. So many people... I put out a video about this, and I thought everyone's gonna be on my side. They were not, I was in the minority, I could not believe it."
The travel expert stands firm on this, no matter what battles she finds herself in. Her solution? Multi-port travel adaptor.
Airlines have been notorious in recent months for stopping passengers at the gate and forcing them to test the size of cabin bags in a contraption Chelsea dubbed the "cage of doom". She explained that the rise of occurrences happening is down to the airlines - like easyjet and Ryanair - checking more bags than before, explaining that easyjet changed their baggage policy a few years back to not including a cabin bag in the price of a ticket.
Cunning travellers have attempted multiple different methods of hiding extra luggage, including a pillowcase hack which went viral. However, Chelsea thinks people who do are asking to be caught out.
She said: "Here's the thing, the pillowcase, I think, is a step too far, because especially if you're going to Europe, it's too big. You're only going a couple of hours, you're probably going to get stopped."
However, there is another sneaky hack which Chelsea swears by. "However, I have done the travel neck pillow and taken out the padding and put my pants in. I've done it, I've tested it, it works. It absolutely works. Happy days."
Chelsea pointed out another way to avoid breaking the weight restrictions, explaining: "This is just tapping into the general rule that is: they may weigh your suitcase, but they're not going to weigh you.
"Put it on your body somewhere, layer it up."
Chelsea's favourite purchase is a fishing jacket boasting 20 pockets - or stuffing her bra. The sneakiness doesn't stop there. If you want to avoid security looking at the size of your baggage, Chelsea advised swapping suitcases for a backpack. "The fact is, most suitcases do not fit in the small cabin bag allowance," she said.
"If you're gonna be a bit risky, have it on your back. Don't go turning in front of them, have your passport ready.
"Make life as easy as possible for them, and don't show them how wide that bag is. Keep your bag away from them."
The ready-to-go bundles will be available on boots.com containing all the essentials for festivals, beach trips, and adventures. The three bundles are £20 each, consisting of five to seven products and with savings of over £10.
