A fluent century from Sean Williams stood tall amid a faltering Zimbabwe batting effort, but South Africa maintained firm control at the end of Day 2 of the first Test at Queens Sports Club. Williams played a lone hand with an aggressive 137 off 163 deliveries—his seventh Test hundred—contributing more than half of Zimbabwe's total of 251. However, South Africa held a commanding first-innings lead of 167 runs, which they stretched to 216 by stumps, closing at 49/1 in their second innings.
