Causes of kidney stones
Kidney Stone is a common but extremely painful problem that can happen to a person of any age nowadays. This is formed when the minerals and acid salts present in urine (urine) form small particles or crystals with each other. Then they gradually increase the form of stone. Many times these stones themselves get out of urine, but in some cases they block the urinary tract and cause severe pain, blood urination and vomiting problems.
It is made slowly and its roots are in our lifestyle and food. If water is drunk in the right amount in time, a balanced diet should be taken and the needs of the body should be taken care of. So this painful situation can be avoided. There are some small domestic habits that we do not take care. It is also important to keep them in mind so that the problem of kidney problem is known in time and can be treated properly.
Due to these reasons, stones are made in kidney
Dr. Himanshu Verma in Nephrology Department at Safdarjung Hospital Has explained some causes of kidney stones
Drinking less water
The first and most common habit is to drink less water. The body requires enough water to keep detoxes and keep urin thinner. When the amount of water in the body decreases, the urin starts to thicken and the minerals present in it start sticking to each other, which increases the chances of stones.
Eating salty
The second habit is to eat salt or too much salty. Excess salt intake increases the amount of sodium in the body, which causes more calcium in urine. It helps in becoming calcium stones.
Eating too much oxalate
The third habit is to consume too much oxalate things like spinach, tea, chocolate, beat root etc. These foods can increase the amount of oxalat in urine which can form kidney stone together with calcium.
Excess protein
The fourth habit is to take high amounts of protein, especially red meats, eggs and processed foods. They not only increase the amount of uric acid but also make urine more acidic, which increases the chances of stones.
Urinate
The fifth habit is to stop urination. Many people do not repeatedly go urine or stop for long, which leads to minerals in the urin tract and the process of kidney stones increases.
Keep these things in mind to protect against kidney stone
Dr. Verma says that kidney stone is not a sudden disease, but it is the result of our small negligence. If we improve our routine and diet such as drink plenty of water, take a balanced diet, limit the salt and oxalate, then it is possible to protect against kidney stone.
