Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has issued an official notification for the recruitment of a total of 26 posts of Lower Division Clerk (LDC). If you want to work in a Lower Division in Bihar, then this is a golden opportunity for you. To apply for the post of Lower Division Clerk, you can apply online by visiting the official website bpsc.bihar.gov.in. The application process for this post will start from July 8. Apart from this, you can apply online till July 29, 2025.

Educational Qualification

To apply for the post of Lower Division Clerk (LDC), the candidate must have passed the intermediate class from a recognized institute in India. Apart from this, candidates should have basic knowledge of computer operation and computer typing.

Pay Scale and Application Fee

The candidates selected for this post will be given a salary of Rs 19,900 to Rs 63,200 per month. Apart from this, candidates will also have to pay the application fee. The application fee for general candidates has been fixed at Rs 600, while the application fee for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe of Bihar state, all permanent resident female candidates of Bihar state, and Divyang candidates has been fixed at Rs 150.

Age limit

The minimum age of the candidates has been fixed at 18 years and the maximum age at 37 years. Apart from this, age relaxation will also be provided to the candidates. OBC and general female candidates will be given three years relaxation in age limit and Scheduled Caste and Tribe candidates will be given five years relaxation in age limit.

Selection process
The candidates will be selected based on the preliminary examination and main examination. Multiple choice type questions will be asked from the candidates in the preliminary and main examination. In the preliminary examination, candidates will be asked questions about general studies, science, mathematics, and mental ability. Each question in the examination will be of four marks and negative marking of one mark will be done for every wrong answer. The duration of the examination has been fixed at 2 hours 15 minutes.
