RailOne Super App Goes Live: All Railway Services Now Available in One Unified Platform for Android & iOS Users
In a move to enhance the travel experience for millions of passengers, Indian Railways has launched a new all-in-one mobile application called ‘RailOne’. This super app brings together a wide range of services including ticket booking, live train tracking, PNR status check, platform ticket booking, complaints, feedback, and even a built-in e-wallet — all under one platform. Available for both Android and iOS, the app is designed to simplify how passengers interact with various railway services.
Let’s take a closer look at what makes the RailOne app a game-changer.
Key Features of the RailOne App
✅ One App for All Services
Until now, users needed multiple apps for different railway services like IRCTC Rail Connect for booking, Rail Madad for complaints, UTS for unreserved tickets, and NTES for train enquiries. RailOne combines all these features, eliminating the need to switch between apps.
✅ Single Sign-On Convenience
With Single Sign-On (SSO), users can access all features using just one login. There’s no need to remember multiple passwords anymore.
✅ Seamless Login for Existing Users
If you’re already using RailConnect or UTSonMobile, you can log into RailOne with your existing credentials—no need to create a new account.
✅ R-Wallet Integration
The app integrates the Railway’s e-wallet—R-Wallet, allowing secure payments and faster transactions. Users can log in using mPIN or biometric authentication.
✅ Easy Guest Login & Registration
New users can register effortlessly using their mobile number and a simple OTP. Even guest login is available for quick access.
✅ Available on Android and iOS
You can download the RailOne app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store, making it accessible to a broad range of users.
A Welcome Change from Multiple Apps
Earlier, passengers had to juggle various apps for booking tickets, ordering food, tracking train status, or registering complaints. With RailOne, the Indian Railways has unified the entire digital railway ecosystem into one seamless experience. This super app not only saves time but also offers a more intuitive and user-friendly interface.
Major Upgrades in Indian Railway Ticketing System
Along with the RailOne launch, Indian Railways is introducing three major changes to the passenger reservation process to improve efficiency and transparency.
1️⃣ Chart Preparation Timing Revised
-
Previously: Reservation charts were prepared 4 hours before train departure.
-
New Rule: Charts will now be prepared 8 hours in advance.
-
For trains departing before 2 PM, charts will be finalized the night before at 9 PM.
-
This will help passengers on the waiting list get earlier updates on seat availability.
2️⃣ Mandatory User Verification for Tatkal Tickets
-
Starting July 1, 2025, only verified users can book Tatkal tickets.
-
Verification via Aadhaar or DigiLocker documents is mandatory.
-
OTP-based verification will be rolled out by the end of July for smoother onboarding.
3️⃣ Next-Gen Reservation System by December 2025
-
The Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) is building a next-generation booking platform.
-
It will support up to 1.5 lakh simultaneous bookings.
-
Capable of handling over 40 million queries per minute.
-
The platform will offer multilingual support and special provisions for students, patients, and differently-abled passengers.
Final Thoughts
The RailOne app represents a significant step forward in the Indian Railways’ journey toward digital transformation. By integrating multiple services into a single, unified app, the railway network is making travel easier, faster, and more secure for millions of users.
Combined with systemic upgrades like improved charting times, Tatkal verification, and a modernized reservation system, Indian Railways is clearly setting the stage for a smarter and more inclusive future.
