Heart disease is no longer the problem of the elderly, due to changing lifestyle, stress, irregular eating and lack of exercise, now heart problems have started coming up at the age of 30-40. The good thing is that if some necessary tests are done in time, then the risk of heart disease can be identified and prevented.

Due to stress, poor catering, no physical activity, smoking and diabetes or blood pressure diseases, heart problems are now being seen at the age of 30 to 40. In such a situation, it has become very important to know when the heart should be investigated and who must do this test on time.

Associate Professor Dr. Ajit Jain in Cardiology Department at Rajiv Gandhi Hospital in Delhi Has told about the test required for heart.

ECG (Electrocardiogram)

ECG is the first and essential test. This test records heart beats and electrical activity. This shows whether the heart is beating in a normal way. If there are signs of blockage, stress or first heart attack in the heart, then ECG can catch them. These tests should be done immediately on symptoms like strong heartbeat, chest heaviness or exhaustion.

Echo (echocardiography)

The second essential test is Echo (Echocardiography) This is an ultrasound test that shows your heart muscle, valve and blood flow. This shows how well the heart is pumping blood. Especially if someone has problems like breathlessness, tiredness or swelling in the legs, then this test can be very beneficial for them.

Lipid profile (cholesterol test)

The third and most important test is Lipid profile (cholesterol test). It checks the total cholesterol, good cholesterol (high-density lipoprotein-high-density lipoprotein) which is considered "good" cholesterol. Along with this, the LDL low-density lipoprotein and the amount of triglycerides tells. High cholesterol can cause blockage directly in the arteries of the heart, which becomes a major cause of heart attack. After the age of 30, every person should conduct this test every year, especially if there is a history of heart disease in the family.

Through these three tests (blood pressure, ECG, and cholesterol test), you can not only monitor the health of the heart, but can also avoid lifestyle changes and a big risk from drugs by consulting a doctor in time.
