Pro-Palestine crowd should stop spewing lies and face reality of Hamas

Heroic Ahmed al-Masri recently led Palestinian protests against the ruinous rule of Hamas in Gaza. But pictures, last week, revealed he had his legs and feet broken by Hamas thugs in order to frighten others into not objecting to their tyrannical rule that has led to the utter destruction of Gaza. And yet, still simple-minded Westerners continue to march in support of the terrorist group that targets its own people in a murderous campaign of intimidation.

It's bad enough that Hamas deliberately hides behind civilians or beneath hospitals in order to ensure that their own people end up being killed by Israelis searching for terrorist headquarters. As a death cult, they gain political leverage the more their fellow citizens are killed or wounded. But now they are torturing and executing any Gazans who object to their thuggish rule. They're also stealing food and supplies from their own people to further their campaign.

The idiot children of the liberal elite waving Palestinian flags at Glastonbury should take note of the following. The last election in Gaza was held in 2006 and since then Hamas has become increasingly unpopular, crushing any dissent with extreme brutality.

In 2024 opinion polls, only a quarter of Gazans said they supported Hamas. Which is hardly surprising when you consider the only reason they are now living among ruins and begging for food and water is because of the Hamas assault on Israel on October 7, 2023 and the following counter-attack.

Any Gazan who objects to the suicidal rule of Hamas is harshly dealt with. In March, after thousands of fed-up Gazans took to the streets, chanting "the people do not want Hamas", six protesters were executed while others were beaten in public. After Odai al-Rubai, aged 22, spoke out against Hamas on social media, he was kidnapped by their gunmen and beaten with metal bars for four hours before he was dragged through the streets with a rope around his neck and returned dying to his relatives.

In April and May, the aforementioned Ahmed al-Masri, led demonstrations against Hamas in northern Gaza, holding a banner saying, "Hamas does not represent us". The 26-year-old was kidnapped by Hamas gangsters, shot in the legs and had his feet crushed by heavy stones. The photograph of his bloodied body has only just emerged.

Even when he was taken to hospital, he was beaten inside the ambulance. Other victims are shot and left outside hospitals, writhing in pain as a message to everyone else.

The BBC and other left-leaning media cover the conflict in Gaza as though its people are willing supporters of Hamas, whereas the truth is that they are being held hostage by terrorists who use them as human shields and do not care if they live or die. In fact, the more they die, the better for their cause, they think.

Why is this truth not more widely broadcast? It might actually dent the idiocy of those thousands of young people who think it's cool and virtuous to march in support of this murderous death-cult.

As for those deluded Queers for Palestine, they should wake up to the reality of being gay under Hamas rule. Membership of any LGBTQ community in Gaza is illegal and gay people are regularly kidnapped and tortured. "Sometimes, they would tie my feet up and beat them with a stick.

After that, every few years, they would arrest me and torture me in the same way," said one anonymous gay man living in a Gazan refugee camp, who has since fled to Turkey. Israel frequently grants asylum to terrified gays fleeing Hamas.

Sadly the intimidation of protesters against Hamas is having its effect. "I think it's working," says one Palestinian expert. "After a certain point, the protests disappeared."

And yet still,pro-Palestinian activists in this country can stand up at Glastonbury and elsewhere, spewing lies and disinformation about Gaza, while Hamas routinely kill and torture their own people.

They are truly an evil, gangster organisation whose elimination would go a long way to bringing permanent peace to the Middle East and allowing Palestinians to live safe and prosperous lives instead.

Israel and Donald Trump should be congratulated, not vilified, for seeing Hamas for what they really are. If only misguided young people in the West would realise this truth too.
