In a post shared on his Insta handle, the pediatrician says, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), with increasing age, the hours of sleep required for the child also change. For the better growth of children, you can put them to sleep according to their age. How many hours should a child sleep at what age? According to Dr. Gupta, newborn babies, i.e., children from 0 to 3 months, need 14 to 17 hours of sleep every day. At this age, children should take an average of 3 naps a day. As the child grows up, the need for sleep decreases a little.
