Angers SCO have officially announced the contract extension of veteran defender Florent Hanin (35).
Hanin has signed a one-year deal, extending his stay at Angers into a third consecutive season. He joined the club in July 2023 and has made a total of 65 appearances for Angers, including 33 Ligue 1 appearances last season.
He began his career at Le Havre but never made a senior appearance for his hometown club. He then moved to Portugal, where he had spells at Leixões, Braga and Moreirense. Over the course of his long professional career, Hanin has also played in Greece, Norway, Belgium and Switzerland.
Hanin returned to French football in August 2020, signing for Paris FC from Vitória de Guimarães. After three seasons in the capital, Hanin joined Angers on a free transfer. In his first season at Le SCO, Hanin helped the club return to Ligue 1.
Angers finished 14th Ligue 1 last season, avoiding potential relegation by just three points.
