New Delhi: Indian wicketkeeper-batsman and Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Sanju Samson created new history in the Kerala Cricket League (KCL) on July 5 (Saturday). According to a report Kochi Blue Tigers have bought him for a whopping amount of ₹26.80 lakh. This will be Samsons first season in KCL. More than half the budget spent on Sanju Kochi Blue Tigers have spent more than half of their auction budget on Sanju Samson. Every team is allowed to buy 16 to 20 players in a budget of ₹50 lakh. In such a situation spending such a huge amount on Sanju was a big decision for the team. MS Akhil also got a big price Before Sanju Samson the most expensive player of KCL was MS Akhil. Last year Trivandrum Royals bought him for ₹7.40 lakh. This year also he has got a good price and Aries Kollam Sellers has included him in their team for ₹ 8.40 lakh. Auction going on in Trivandrum At present the KCL auction is going on in Trivandrum. This auction is being supervised by experienced Charu Sharma who has also conducted the IPL auction earlier. With his experience the auction is being conducted in a systematic and professional manner. Aries Kollam eyes the title for the second consecutive time In the first edition of KCL Aries Kollam Sellers won the title. They won the tournament with a strong performance due to which they are being considered a strong contender for the title this time too. Next season from August to September The second season of Kerala Cricket League will be played between 21 August and 6 September. This time a total of six teams will participate in this exciting tournament. The special thing is that in this season star players like Sanju Samson will take the field for the first time due to which the audience will get to see tremendous matches.
