The ICC World Test Championship 2025–27 points table has seen significant movement following recent results.
India’s 336-run win over England in Birmingham reshuffled the standings, but it was Australia’s dominant series sweep against West Indies that had the biggest impact. Despite India’s historic victory at Edgbaston, they still find themselves outside the top two, sitting in fourth place.
India on Rise, Not Yet in Top 2
After a setback in the 1st Test against England at Leeds, India bounced back strongly in the second Test, claiming a huge win to earn 12 points and move to the fourth spot in the table. England, also with 12 points, currently sit at number three, narrowly ahead on other metrics.
Sri Lanka, with one win and one draw, hold the second position with 16 points, while Australia lead the standings with a perfect record from two matches, securing 24 points and a 100% PCT after back-to-back wins over West Indies.
Bangladesh find themselves in fifth place with just 4 points from two matches, and West Indies remain winless, still looking to open their account.
India’s victory over England in the second Test propelled them from fifth to third place in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025–27 points table.
With the third Test at Lord’s coming up, both India and England will have a golden opportunity to break into the top two. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have completed their Test assignments for now, and one more match remains between Australia and West Indies.
