India’s beloved cricket duo, often referred to as the heartbeat of Team India — Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli — haven’t played a single international match since the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final. Both legendary players have retired from the Test and T20I formats.
But now, a major announcement regarding the return of this iconic “Ro-Ko” duo is on the horizon. According to a report by News Wire, India and Sri Lanka may play a three-match ODI series and a three-match T20I series in August. Talks are currently underway between the BCCI and the Sri Lanka Cricket Board.
In this potential ODI series, both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are likely to be seen in action again.
Earlier, Team India was scheduled to tour Bangladesh in August, but due to the current situation there, the series has been postponed to next year.
