
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has begun preparations for the next season of his much loved show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). On Wednesday (July 9), he took to his official blog to share several behind-the-scenes photos and with this, he also quashed rumours of superstar Salman Khan replacing him as the host of the quiz show. For the unawares, in May 2025, it was reported that Salman will replace Big B as the host of KBC 17. However, with the Agneepath actor's latest post, it is confirmed that he will be back as the host. On his blog, Big B wrote, "Shuru kar diya kaam - and the prep begins the beguine 🤣 to be back to the people .. to be with them in their desires to improve life and livings .. the opportunity that changes lives .. in an hour." Big B's association with KBCKnown for his insightful as well as entertaining hosting, Big B's return has come as a treat and a highly anticipated moment for the loyal audience of the TV show.Bachchan has been associated with the show for 24 years and if reports are to be believed, for the first season of the show (2000) he was paid approximately Rs 25 lakh per episode. For KBC 16, the last season, the actor was paid a staggering fee of Rs 5 crore per episode, a significant increase from previous seasons. The makers of KBC have not announced the premiere date of the show yet. However, the 17th season was announced in April 2025. Big B's upcoming projectsMeanwhile, on the work front, Big B is one of the busiest actors of Bollywood. He will be next seen in Section 84, co-starring Nimrat Kaur, Diana Penty, Abhishek Banerjee, and others. He also has the second installments of both Brahmastra and Kalki 2898 AD in the pipeline.
