According to a report by �wabetainfo, Whatsapp is working on a dedicated reply thread view that can change our way of joining the group chat to a great extent. Inspired by the structured layout of Apple’s IMessage, it will make it easier to track update reply and maintain reference in ongoing conversations.

It works like this: A small reply count indicator will appear on every message in chat, which would clearly indicate that there are replys associated with it. By tapping on this indicator, the user will reach a separate, clean interface, where all answers will appear in the threaded format. This means that now you will not have to try to introduce endless scrolling or any answer to the message sent hours ago. Instead, the answers will be presented simultaneously, so that interactions can be easily tracked in busy groups.

Not only for reading, but the new thread view will allow users to directly answer in that context. This ensures that the answers do not be buried under un messages, and all stay on the same page. This feature promises to help more consistent, reduce confusion and focus on specific discussions. Although whatsapp has not confirmed the launch date, the feature is currently subject to development and will initially be released to iOS users. If it was successful, it can also be released on the Android platform in later updates.

Apart from threaded reply, WhatsApp is also introducing an attractive feature powered by Meta AI-Custom AI-Generated Chat Wallpaper. This practical feature allows iOS users to personalize its chat background using the text prompt. Users can type imaginative prompts such as “a lama on balloon” or “future neon horizon”, and it will create several background options to choose the tool.

These AI-manufactured wallpapers can be previewed, they can be improved by adjusting elements such as color or details, and individual interactions or globally applied to all chats. This feature is currently available to a limited group of iOS users, and its widespread rollouts are expected in the coming weeks.

These two features – with threaded reply for more structured communication and AI wallpaper for creative personalization -, Whatsapp is leading to a smart, clean and more attractive user experience. As the development of messaging continues, these updates will keep WhatsApp easy, user-first in communication.
