How was the research done?

The study included 1,740 newly married couples in Iran. All couples had been married on average for 6 months.
Of these, 268 people were suffering from depression, anxiety and sleep problems, but their companions were mentally healthy.
At the same time, the results of the study showed that the mental health of the companions who were completely healthy in the beginning also deteriorated after 6 months.
After 6 months, mentally healthy spouses also showed symptoms of depression and anxiety.

What is the reason?

Research report shows that bacteria in your mouth change when you kiss your partner, share food, or close them. These bacteria can also affect mental health. The same bacteria (Clostridia, Wilonela, Basilus and Lanospices) were also found in the mouth of a mentally sick partner. These bacteria affect the functioning of the brain and also damage blood-brain blockage. Also, these bacteria reaches a healthy partner by kissing, sharing food, or being close to them.

Women had to suffer more

Research also found that women suffer more than the transfer of these bacteria and its effects. This research is currently in the initial stage, but it shows that our lifestyle, relationship and health are deeply connected. However, this does not mean that you should stay away from your partner.
