Sambi Lokonga has issued a clear message on social media as he, seemingly, prepares for pre-season at Arsenal despite the expectation being that he will seal an exit.
The Belgian midfielder made 22 appearances during the 2024/25 campaign while on loan with Sevilla with three prolonged absences due to a hamstring injury impacting him. Muscular issues also disrupted what was a positive campaign at Luton Town.
With two temporary spells taking place, it is no surprise that Lokonga wants stability with recent comments confirming that the one-year extension in his contract has been activated.

"So the situation is really, really open," he told Standard Sport back in May. "To talk about my future... I can't say anything, because I really don't know where I will end up.
"I can't say that it's tough, because I still have one year on my contract, but it's true that as a player you want to know where you will end up or where you will stay.
"For me, I really don't know what is going to happen, but what I do know for sure is that I need stability. I need a club where I can stay for two or three years, to play and develop again."
The 25-year-old prefers a return to Spain, but with no concrete links arriving as of yet, it seems likely he features in pre-season and potentially even on the club's Asia tour with the man himself hinting at such.
"Let's go into pre-season more focused than ever," he wrote in an Instagram story. "We don't know what the next season holds yet, but I'm grateful for every experience and to every person that I get to work with and to every fan that I connect with. Grateful to live the life I live and I will continue to give everything!

"Let's enjoy the process before the process becomes the past READY TO (AGAIN) [punch and brain emoji]." There does not appear to be a spot for him in Arsenal's squad for next season with Martin Zubimendi signed and Christian Norgaard set to join from Brentford.
