
In a bold move by the central government, a total of Rs.1066.80 crore has been approved for the flood- and landslide-affected states of Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Kerala, and Uttarakhand as part of the central share under SDRF. The Union Home Minister further said that besides financial aid, providing all logistic assistance, including deployment of the requisite NDRF, Army, and Air Force, has been the top priority. He also said that more than Rs. 8,000 crore from SDRF/NDRF funds has been provided to 19 states this year.
