Ways To Tackle Power Shutdown 

As parts of Coimbatore prepare for scheduled power shutdowns on July 14 and 15, residents are urged to take necessary precautions to minimize disruption during the outages. One key recommendation is to keep LED bulbs or solar lanterns ready for emergency lighting. These energy-efficient options provide longer-lasting illumination while consuming minimal power, making them ideal during blackouts.

For those relying on electric pumps for water, it is advisable to store sufficient drinking and cooking water in advance to avoid any inconvenience caused by the power cuts. Similarly, preparing meals ahead of time or using alternative cooking methods such as gas stoves, traditional chulhas, or portable gas burners can help households avoid dependence on electrical appliances during the outage.

Residents are also advised to unplug sensitive electronic devices like televisions, computers, and refrigerators before the power shutdown.
