Here we are talking about Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor who belongs to the famous Kapoor family. She has often kept her personal life away from the limelight. After breaking her engagement with Abhishek Bachchan Karisma married Delhi-based business tycoon Late Sunjay Kapur in 2003. The couple also officially divorced in 2016. Karisma and Sunjay have two children - daughter Samaira and son Kiaan. The family recently faced tragedy when Sunjay passed away on June 12 at the age of 53 after suffering from cardiac arrest. What Allegations Were Put On Sunjay Kapoor? The actress had reportedly said that Sunjay Kapur tried to auction her off and even forced her to sleep with his friends. When she refused to do so Sanjay beat her up badly and even told her price to one of his friends. As mentioned in her divorce petition from 2014 she also accused him of both physical and emotional abuse recounting an episode where Sunjay urged his mother to hit her while she was pregnant and claimed he attempted to auction her off. Sunjay refuted these claims asserting that Karisma wed him primarily for his financial status. Their divorce was concluded in 2016 with Karisma awarded a residence in Khar bonds valued at Rs 14 crore for their children generating a monthly interest of Rs 10 lakh and an estimated Rs 87 crore in spousal support in addition to her wedding jewelry. Why Karisma Kapoor Did Not Marry Abhishek Bachchan? Karisma first crossed paths with Abhishek at his sister Shweta Bachchan’s wedding and an undeniable chemistry ignited between them. Before long they began dating successfully keeping their romance a secret for five long years. In 2002 during the celebration of Amitabh Bachchan’s 60th birthday Jaya Bachchan surprised everyone by announcing the engagement of Abhishek and Karisma delighting their fans.
