Google has recently introduced AI mode for search. The company is integrating AI in many of its services. Now Google has started another test. According to the latest report, Google Discover is going to get a big upgrade. After Google Search, Google is now testing AI-generated summaries for Google Discover. This means that now you will get a summary of the news with the help of AI, even before visiting the website. This can be a very useful feature for those who read news on smartphones. They will not have to go to different websites and read the news. They will be able to read a summary by combining 3-4 stories on Discover itself.
This is how Google Discover will look.
According to the latest report of 9to5 Google, AI-generated summaries are being tested in the Discover feed on Android and iOS. Not only this, but this, easy bookmarking is also being tested. If the report is to be believed, instead of the name of only one publication, users will see a card in which many icons will overlap. This will show how many and from which sources stories have been used to prepare a summary. If you want to read all the stories, then you will be able to read by tapping on the icon.
For your information, let us tell you that before tapping on See More, you will also see a text written in three lines, at the end of which it is written that it has been created with the help of AI, which can make mistakes. This means that Google will tell the user that this is AI-generated content, which can also be wrong. Apart from this, the cover image will be of the first story, below which its title will be written. Also, the name, time/date of the publication will be written.
Bookmarking will be easy.
Apart from this, users will also get a save button on the card. This button will be between the heart and the overflow menu. By tapping on it, you can easily bookmark it. After this, that bookmark will appear in the Activity tab. Its testing is also going on. The purpose of this feature of Google is to highlight important information and looks similar to AI overview in Google search results. There is no information from Google about the rollout of this feature yet. It is expected that after testing it can be rolled out globally.
