Amitabh Bachchan never misses a chance to praise Abhishek Bachchan's work. In fact, Abhishek's 2025 slate has indeed showcased his range - from intense drama in I Want to Talk, to comedy in Housefull 5, and a layered role in Kaalidhar Laapata, his first collaboration with director Madhumita. The latter has already garnered critical acclaim
Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan took to social media on Wednesday (July 16) to shower praise on his son, actor Abhishek Bachchan, for his performances in three films released this year - I Want to Talk, Housefull 5, and Kaalidhar Laapata.
In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Big B wrote in Hindi, "In a single year, three films - and three completely different roles: I Want to Talk, Housefull 5, and Kaalidhar Laapata. And in each of them, a performance so distinct, so immersed in character, that at no point did it feel like it was Abhishek Bachchan onscreen. It felt like the character itself had come alive."
He went on the say, "To see this in today’s era, to accept such diversity, and to convincingly portray it - that, Abhishek, is the quality you have shown the world My heartfelt blessings and lots of love. हाँ हाँ हाँ ! तुम मेरे बेटा हो, और मुझे तुम्हारी प्रशंसा करते हुए कोई नहीं रोक सकता (Yes, yes, yes—you are my son, and no one can stop me from praising you)."
On a concluding note, he mentioned, "And the year isn’t even over yet - who knows what more you’ll amaze us with!"
The post has since gone viral, with fans also applauding both Amitabh's emotional acknowledgment and Abhishek's evolving journey as a performer.
It may be noted that Big B never misses a chance to praise Abhishek. The proud son too leaves no stone unturned to express his love for Big B.
Recently, Abhishek shared a promo of the upcoming season of Kaun Banega Crorepati on his official Instagram account and wrote, "THE BOSS!!! He’s back!!! KBC ke saath apinment, apinment. Englis bolta hai."
