AS Monaco have confirmed that Mika Biereth (22) has signed a contract extension until June 2030, rewarding the Danish striker following his breakout season with the Principality side in 2024-2025. last Summer Monaco signed the London-born striker for a reported fee of €13m, with an additional €2m in add-ons.
Biereth quickly adapted to life in the Principality, scoring 13 goals and delivering 2 assists in just 16 Ligue 1 matches, as Monaco secured Champions League qualification for a second consecutive season. His return set a 21st-century record — no other winter signing has scored as many goals in a single Ligue 1 campaign.
The Danish international’s remarkable run included three hat-tricks, against AJ Auxerre (notably in just 8 minutes and 10 seconds), FC Nantes, and Stade de Reims, as well as a decisive goal in the derby victory over OGC Nice (2-1). Biereth also became the fastest player to reach 10 Ligue 1 goals in a single season (since 1947-48), doing so in only seven games. He is also the first to score three consecutive home hat-tricks in the French top flight since 1956.
