A major reason for Apple’s increase in iPhone production in India is believed to be the ongoing tariff war between China and the US. According to reports, most of the iPhone sold in the US since April 2025 is now being exported from India. This has given a new identity to India’s manufacturing sector globally.

Preparations for iPhone 17 production begin

According to media reports, preparations for the iPhone 17 launched in September are also in full swing. Parts of iPhone 17 have started arriving at the Foxconn plant in Tamil Nadu. Along with Foxconn, Tata Electronics is also working as a major manufacturer in India for Apple. It is worth noting that Tata Electronics has recently held the responsibility of Indian plants of Vistron and Patron.
