PSG have submitted an opening bid to Ligue 1 rivals Lille OSC for the signing of Lucas Chevalier (23), according to a report from The team. The Champions League winners seem keen to shake up their goalkeeping department as talks over a contract extension for Gianluigi Donnarumma have stalled. The Italy international has entered the final year of the five-year contract he signed in 2021, upon the expiry of his AC Milan deal.
The 23-year-old Chevalier has clearly been identified by Parisians as their next No. 1 goalie. As a young France international with an impeccable attitude and plenty of experience and potential, Chevalier looks tailor-made to fit in Luis Campos’ vision for PSG. The Ligue 1 champions have already wrapped up an agreement on personal terms with Chevalier with a five-year contract. PSG already submitted an opening bid reportedly below the €40m mark. Lille are expected to reject it.
